The Role
We are seeking a dedicated RE Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school, teaching across KS3 and KS4. You will deliver inclusive and engaging lessons that develop pupils’ understanding of faith, ethics, and philosophy.
1. Mixed all-through academy (ages 3-16) under the academy
2. Capacity: 2,160 pupils; current roll 2,190-2,200.
3. Gender split: roughly balanced (51% boys / 49% girls).
4. High proportion of pupils for whom English is not the first language: 66-70%.
5. Around 30-33% of pupils are eligible for free school meals (FSM).
6. Special Education Needs Support (SEN): 16% of pupils.
7. Ofsted rating (as of 6-7 June 2023): Good overall. All major categories (quality of education; behaviour & attitudes; personal development; leadership & management; early years) rated Good.
