Panel Technician Responsibilities As a Panel Technician, Panel Beater, or Vehicle Body Repair Technician, you will: Carry out structural and cosmetic panel repairs on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles Replace, repair, and align damaged body panels to manufacturer and safety standards Perform vehicle body repairs using approved accident repair methods and modern bodyshop equipment Complete MIG/MAG welding and panel beating tasks to a high standard Diagnose vehicle body damage and determine the most effective repair techniques Ensure all repairs meet quality control, productivity, and safety requirements Work collaboratively with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians, Estimators, and workshop teams Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment Panel Technician Requirements To succeed in this role, you should have: Proven experience as a Panel Technician, Panel Beater, Vehicle Body Repair Technician, or Bodyshop Technician Experience working within an accident repair centre, bodyshop, or collision repair environment Strong knowledge of panel repair techniques, body alignment, and vehicle restoration Proficiency in MIG/MAG welding and structural vehicle repair ATA accreditation or equivalent body repair qualification (desirable) Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality repairs Ability to work efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-focused approach What We Offer At Steer Automotive Group, we invest in our people and provide a supportive environment where skilled technicians can thrive.
