The Role:
We are seeking a senior executive to lead the creation and growth of a Higher Education‑focused business unit. Reporting directly to the company leadership team, the Managing Director will have full P&L responsibility and will be tasked with building the division from the ground up. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape a division, establish a strong market presence, and drive significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a strategy for the new Higher Education division.
* Generate new business and build a robust pipeline within the sector.
* Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across universities and institutions.
* Navigate procurement processes and framework agreements.
* Lead pitches, proposals, and client engagement initiatives.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver successful design and build projects.
* Recruit, build, and scale a high‑performing team as the division grows.
* Manage commercial performance and contribute to overall business growth.
The Candidate:
* Proven experience selling into the Higher Education sector is essential.
* Demonstrable track record of winning and delivering high‑value projects within the Higher Education sector.
* Strong network across universities, estates teams, and procurement functions.
* Solid understanding of frameworks and public sector procurement processes.
* Background in design & build, fit‑out, architecture, or a related sector preferred.
* Commercially driven with a focus on revenue generation.
* Capable of operating autonomously and building a business from the ground up.
