Due to continued project growth, the organisation is looking to strengthen its design team with a skilled engineer focused on Fire Sprinkler Design. This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects while contributing to the delivery of critical life safety systems across the UK. Working as part of a collaborative team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for producing compliant Fire Sprinkler Design solutions that meet industry standards and project specifications. The role will involve close collaboration with project managers, installation teams and clients to ensure that each Fire Sprinkler Design is accurate, efficient and delivered to the highest standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical ability who enjoys the full process of Fire Sprinkler Design, from initial surveys and drawings through to calculations and technical documentation. Key responsibilities • Design automatic sprinkler and fire protection systems in accordance with LPC rules, BS EN 12845, FM or NFPA standards • Produce detailed AutoCAD layouts and technical drawings for Fire Sprinkler Design projects • Complete hydraulic calculations and associated technical design documentation • Conduct site surveys to support accurate Fire Sprinkler Design development • Work closely with project managers, fabrication teams and installation engineers • Prepare technical submissions and operation and maintenance documentation • Support commissioning activities and inspections where required • Identify and manage design changes and project variations during the Fire Sprinkler Design process Skills and experience required Essential • Proven experience in Fire Sprinkler Design or fire protection engineering • Strong AutoCAD or CAD design capability • Good understanding of sprinkler standards including LPC rules, BS EN 12845, FM or NFPA • Ability to produce accurate technical drawings and hydraulic calculations • Strong communication skills and ability to work with project teams Desirable • Previous experience working for a sprinkler contractor or fire protection specialist • Knowledge of BIM or Revit • LPCB or FIA training or similar industry qualifications • Experience supporting installation teams or commissioning of sprinkler systems What is on offer • Company pension scheme • Training and professional development opportunities • Support towards industry certifications • Long term career progression within the fire protection sector • Opportunity to contribute to major UK Fire Sprinkler Design projects How to apply If you have experience in Fire Sprinkler Design and are looking for a new opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects, we would welcome your application.
