JOB SUMMARY
B-Stock is searching for a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) who will be responsible for identifying and advancing new opportunities from both inbound and outbound lead generation to Sales Accepted Lead (SAL). A successful candidate has at least three years of business development experience in a B2B technology, preferably in either e-commerce, retail or manufacturing sectors. As a key member of the Growth team, you’ll drive adoption of B-Stock’s re-commerce solutions by effectively communicating our value to decision-makers and influencers—helping top brands and retailers reduce waste and maximize recovery. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Growth Marketing.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research Target ICP Accounts that meet the B-Stock requirements, identify key contacts, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
2. Qualify inbound marketing leads and prospect outbound accounts and contacts with the goal of scheduling sales ready meetings for our Account Executive team. You will be qualifying marketing leads generated from paid advertising, website, trade shows and webinars as well as reaching out to and speaking with senior-level executives prospected from identified target account lists
3. Meet and exceed your monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals to ensure our pipeline is continually sustained with new opportunities
4. Interact with high-level prospects via email, phone, video conferencing and various social media tools
5. Effectively manage inbound and outbound outreach, adapting your pitch to the prospect’s account, industry, title, and role in the decision-making process
6. Develop expertise within a specific industry vertical (e.g., apparel, electronics, home goods) to tailor outreach and better understand the unique challenges, trends, and operational constraints within that category
7. Hone your ability to adapt selling style based on the various sources that our leads originate from and build an overall understanding of the goals and processes of inbound marketing and outbound prospecting campaigns
8. Identifying which B-Stock solution works best for a prospect and, if qualified, assigning that prospect to the appropriate Sales Executive, educating the AE on the details of the opportunity and assisting in a smooth lead transition
9. Deliver a concise and effective sales presentation that connects with the unique needs of each prospect
10. Be able to quickly overcome and effectively manage objections
11. Confidently communicate a comprehensive understanding of B-Stock’s business model, platform, solutions, and value proposition to outside prospects
12. Work within a defined sales process, tracking activities and maintaining notes from prospect conversations using Outreach and Salesforce, driving toward accurate pipeline performance reporting and ensuring efficient lead management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
13. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
14. 3+ years experience in Enterprise B2B sales
15. Proficient use in automated selling tools to identify which prospects to target, when to reach out, how best to follow-up all while recording each step of the sales process
16. An established track record of sales success, routinely meeting and exceeding quotas
17. Basic understanding of demand generation is a plus
18. Exceptional work ethic with a selling instinct
19. Coachable and able to take and implement constructive criticism
20. Ability to learn and use new technology in a relatively quick manner with instruction
21. Experience using Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, Zoom video conferencing or equivalent business technologies
22. Excellent organizational skills to keep leads, contacts and schedules in order
23. Problem-solving, creative thinking, teamwork
24. Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
The pay rate for this role will range between $26.44 to $27.40, per hour. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as the applicant’s work experience, education and training, skills, market data, and internal equity. This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based OTE plan that ranges between $8,000 to $21,000 per annum.
