Installation Technician - CSCS Card
Responsible for the safe, precise, and professional delivery, handling, and installation of artwork and related fixtures in a variety of settings. Conducting site surveys, assessing installation environments, and ensuring the accurate execution of installation plans while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality. Working closely with team members and clients to ensure seamless installations that meet or exceed client expectations. Supporting with production tasks when not on site, contributing to the creation and preparation of artworks
Primary responsibilities of the role:
Safely deliver the full art collection
* Transport artwork securely, ensuring protection from potential damage during transit.
* Use appropriate packing materials and techniques to preserve the integrity of the collection.
Arrange and install art per plan
* Follow detailed installation plans, ensuring accurate placement and alignment.
* Utilize appropriate hardware and mounting systems to secure artwork safely.
Collaborate for safe, efficient installation
* Work closely with team members, curators, and designers to ensure smooth execution.
* Coordinate logistics to minimize downtime and optimize the installation process.
Ensure satisfactory installation
* Double-check alignment, spacing, and stability to meet client expectations.
* Conduct a thorough review post-installation to guarantee a polished final presentation.
Alert issues promptly to managers
* Identify and report any challenges, potential hazards, or deviations from the plan.
* Communicate effectively to prevent delays or compromise in quality.
Professionally liaises with on-site clients
* Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients.
* Address client inquiries and accommodate last-minute adjustments when feasible.
Team plan for seamless install
* Participate in pre-installation planning sessions to assign tasks and streamline workflow.
* Share ideas and expertise to improve efficiency and uphold quality standards.
Site surveys
* Assess installation environments to identify potential challenges, including wall materials, surface types, load capacity, and environmental conditions.
* Gather measurements and evaluate spatial layouts to inform accurate installation plans.
* Document site conditions and develop strategies to ensure safe and effective artwork installation.
