Childcare Worker
Salary: £23,151.50 per annum
Location: Caerphilly
Contract: Permanent, Part-time, Term-time
Hours: 30 hours per week (09:00-15:30 Monday to Friday) or 15 hours per week (09:00-12:00 Monday to Friday)

A bit about the role
We are now seeking a Childcare Worker with experience of working with children who may have additional and complex needs, to help us continue to deliver an excellent service in our Sunshine Flying Start Nursery located in Caerphilly.e
Our Nursery provides an innovative curiosity approach to children's development, with open access to outside areas for children to explore and discover, as well as accessing our newly refurbished sensory room to help children develop and engage their senses.
As a Childcare worker, you'll provide sessional day care, split into morning sessions (up to 16 children) and afternoon sessions (up to 4 children) and help create play plans for each child.
The playgroup operates 5 days per week during term time and is inclusive of all children within the Flying Start areas.

7. Working as part of a team to create a rich and stimulating play environment that promotes children's development and encourages them to explore and discover.
8. Working closely with parents to develop an inclusive and open relationship that engages them in their children's learning and development.
9. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess children's development needs and implement appropriate support
10. Being committed to continuing professional development, embracing learning opportunities and promoting best practice.
11. Documenting and updating case files on the progression of young people
12. Ensuring Safeguarding policies and procedures are in place throughout the service
Let's talk about you
13. Level 3 Qualification in Childrens Care, Learning and Development or recognised equivalent
14. Experience of volunteering or working within a Childcare setting
15. Understanding of Child development
16. Knowledge and understanding of CIW requirements and current relevant legislation.
17. Current Paediatric First Aid and Food Safety Qualification and knowledge of COSHH
18. Experience of record keeping on the development and progress of children
