As an Account Manager, you will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to execute multiple in-store marketing campaigns from initial briefing through to invoicing the finished product.
You will need strong negotiation skills and comfort discussing budgets and narrowing down timescales. Other tasks include placing stock orders, handling ad hoc requests, and resolving store queries. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and use initiative is essential. Building and developing relationships with notable clients while delivering excellent customer service is also key.
Key responsibilities
1. Providing technical input and advice on print projects as required.
2. Suggesting sustainable Point-of-Sale options where possible.
3. Preparing quotes based on client specifications.
4. Building rapport and strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers.
5. Producing detailed specifications for internal and external clients based on client knowledge.
6. Briefing multiple suppliers on client requirements and gathering data accordingly.
7. Monitoring projects to ensure they are delivered to specification and on time.
8. Recording activity using designated company tools.
9. Implementing new methods and procedures as required.
10. Collaborating with the team to deliver contractual requirements, prepare presentations, and complete necessary account admin and reporting.
11. Ensuring invoicing procedures are followed.
12. Attending meetings outside the client site as required.
13. Participating in press passing when required, often outside normal working hours.
14. Working with the Account Director to identify new business opportunities.
15. Managing and agreeing on budgets.
16. Maximizing profit through performance analysis.
17. Delivering services that meet and exceed contracted SLAs.
18. Managing and monitoring objectives to meet key business drivers.
19. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
1. Numerate with a strong commercial understanding.
2. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
3. Strong time management and prioritization skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a good sense of humor.
5. High level of technical print knowledge.
6. Experience and confidence with press passing.
7. Approachable and confident in offering advice during meetings.
8. Professional, courteous, and calm under pressure.
9. Project management mindset.
10. Process-driven with an eye for sales and business development.
11. Account management experience within a contracted environment.
12. Experience troubleshooting project issues and implementing preventative measures is preferred.
13. Experience liaising directly with clients on campaign print/digital solutions is preferred.
14. Knowledge of Microsoft Apps is preferred but not essential.
15. Previous experience in print management, print buying, or marketing print procurement is essential.
16. Experience in a client-facing role is essential.
17. Leadership and management experience is desirable.
