Overview
Step 4 High Intensity Therapist, Wirral — Hybrid working. Are you an experienced High Intensity Practitioner working in Mental Health or Talking Therapy services? This is a fantastic opportunity to work with clients who have complex trauma, long-standing emotional difficulties and co-morbidities.
Responsibilities
* Allocate approximately 60% of time to direct clinical work with clients.
* Provide specialist therapy to clients as required (eg. EMDR, DBT, CBT, Counselling Psychology, ACT).
* Evaluate and decide on treatment options, considering theoretical and therapeutic models and any complex factors affecting the client\'s psychological needs.
* Conduct risk assessments, develop risk management plans and initiate appropriate action (including requests for mental health act assessments and referrals to relevant secondary care services).
* Collect psychometric data and maintain clinical records in line with service policy.
* Communicate with clients, carers, relatives and other health professionals, conveying complex information ethically and within confidentiality boundaries.
* Co-facilitate psychological groups as agreed by the Clinical Lead/Service Lead.
* Clinically supervise other team members, as appropriate, and advise Clinical Leads/Service Lead on arising issues.
* Participate in meetings including Service Meetings and MDTs, and other required meetings.
* Comply with professional bodies (eg. BABCP and/or BPS), codes of conduct and relevant procedures and legislation as applies to the service.

About You
* Level 7 Diploma in CBT
* Secondary qualification in a Talking Therapies modality (eg EMDR, DBT, Couples Counselling)
* Accredited with BABCP or BPS, or willingness to become accredited within 12 months
* Experience in a Talking Therapies service with stepped care knowledge
* Evidence of effective interventions; experience with complex trauma and co-morbidity
* Knowledge of clinical supervision modalities; risk management experience
