W&A is supporting a leading international business to appoint a Global Financial Controller a pivotal role that will shape high-level reporting, compliance, and controls across multiple geographies.

Location: Glasgow city centre (Hybrid)
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
The Opportunity
In this role, you'll report directly to the Head of the function and join a team committed to raising the bar in finance operations. Your mission: to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial analysis across the Group's PL, balance sheet, and cash flow, while driving continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
* Producing high-quality monthly management reports with insightful commentary
* Leading co-ordination of global audit deliverables and key financial control processes
* Supporting technical accounting areas, such as IFRS 9 and ECL methodologies
* Driving improvements in systems, processes, and risk-based controls
* Playing a hands-on role in transformation projects and finance operations analysis
What You Bring
This is a fantastic role for a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with proven post-qualified experience in large, complex organisations.
You'll need:
* Deep understanding of financial and management reporting in line with IFRS
* Strong analytical skills and an eye for risk and process improvement
* A proactive mindset and excellent stakeholder management capabilities
* Advanced Excel skills; Power BI and D365 experience would be a real advantage
