Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
* Monitor and document patient vital signs, progress, and responses to treatment.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
* Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Perform procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, catheterization, and phlebotomy as needed.
* Participate in discharge planning and coordinate post-care services for patients.
* Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in all clinical practices.
* Stay updated on current nursing practices, policies, and advancements in healthcare.
Skills
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:
* Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
* Experience in critical care settings (ICU, PICU) or emergency medicine.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
* Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding for accurate medical documentation.
* Expertise in pain management strategies including acute pain management and palliative care.
* Experience with specialized populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
* Strong communication skills for effective patient education and family support.
* Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures such as dialysis, ventilator management, or ostomy care.
