Technical Support Officer (Environmental Health)

We are looking for a motivated and confident Technical Support Officer to join our Environmental Protection & Housing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting protecting public health, improving local environmental quality, and supporting our residents and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver vital admin support to our Environmental Health team.
* Be a first point of contact—providing clear advice and handling enquiries and complaints.
* Produce and maintain records, reports, licences, and data across our systems (including IDOX Uniform).
* Keep our electronic systems up to date and support ongoing system development and website content.
* Process invoices, applications, and documentation accurately.
* Support officers and managers with meetings, minutes, and general organisation.
* Provide flexible cover across the service and work closely with Customer Services and partner agencies.
* Champion high standards of conduct, equality, safeguarding, health and safety, and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications and Experience
* GCSE Maths, English and one other subject at Grade C/4 or above
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
* Confident managing a varied caseload
