Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex logistics and supply chain program.
The role will focus on ensuring quality compliance across procurement, storage, and distribution processes while driving supplier performance and audit activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance frameworks across the supply chain
* Conduct internal, external, and supplier audits in line with ISO9001 / AQAP standards
* Act as the main point of contact for supplier quality issues and escalations
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance quality processes
* Ensure compliance with quality management systems and operational procedures
* Produce audit reports with actionable insights for performance improvement
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor and improve programme performance
* Support audit readiness by coordinating documentation and compliance evidence
* Deliver quality training and awareness across the business
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in quality assurance within logistics, procurement, or supply chain environments
* Strong understanding of audit processes and compliance frameworks
* Experience managing supplier quality and performance
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas
* Experience with defence or regulated environments
* Knowledge of AQAP, defence standards, or similar frameworks
* Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, Jira, and MS Office
* Experience with procurement/sourcing platforms
