Purpose And Scope Of The Role
Tetra Tech Scotland is seeking a Storage Facilities & Equipment Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day control, security and compliance of stores and operational equipment from our Stepps office. This site-based role supports clean water and wastewater activities, including safety-critical assets, van fleet fit-out and hygiene standards, purchase approvals, stock control and asset traceability. You will work closely with operational teams, QHSE, line managers, suppliers and the Central Logistics Manager to maintain robust records, manage inspections and drive corrective action. The role covers a busy and varied portfolio, supporting equipment and fleet governance across Scotland.
Your Impact In This Position
In the short term, you will strengthen control, visibility and compliance across stores and equipment. Over time, you will improve audit performance, reduce loss and downtime, and create clearer, more efficient processes for asset management and replenishment. Longer term, this role offers the opportunity to shape local standards, influence safer ways of working and build expertise across logistics, facilities and operational governance within a major technical business.
Core Capabilities
* Asset and Stores Control – You will manage secure, organised and compliant storage environments, with strong traceability, stock discipline and clear accountability.
* Safety-Critical Compliance – You will oversee inspection, servicing, calibration and removal from service for critical equipment, ensuring records are accurate and actions are closed on time.
* Operational Confidence – You will work with teams on practical equipment needs, challenge non-compliance and support safe, effective day-to-day delivery.
* Systems and Administration – You will maintain registers, approvals and management information using asset systems and Microsoft 365 with a high level of accuracy.
* Supplier and Cost Management – You will coordinate suppliers, monitor turnaround times and control spend to deliver value for money and reliable service.
Skills, Qualifications And Experience
Essential: significant experience in stores, logistics, equipment, asset or facilities management.
Desirable: HNC/HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience; experience managing inspection, servicing or calibration schedules.
Work Patterns and Location
This is a full-time, permanent role based at Stepps, Glasgow. It is site-based with no hybrid working option. The role requires regular on-site presence to support stores, fleet and compliance activity effectively.
