Overview
We are looking to appoint a Housekeeper, on either a part time or full time basis, to provide non-clinical support to the theatre team. The role involves carrying out tasks assigned under the supervision of Team Leaders and Theatre Practitioners, and contributing to a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the smooth running of the Theatre department by promoting a clean and healthy environment.
* Share responsibility for maintaining adequate stocks of consumables to meet service requirements and ensure all equipment within the department is clean and in good working order.
* Assist in the transfer of patients and equipment as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* GCSEs in English and Maths at Grades 9–4 (or equivalent).
* Previous experience within a service industry including cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment.
* IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
* Effective communication skills, both face to face and in writing, with the ability to feed back information from meetings and work within your scope while supporting Senior staff.
