Here, we provide Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care, and we’re looking for a passionate Care Home Chef to join our team. What you’ll do Meal Preparation: Cook and serve hot and cold meals, including modified diets for residents with specific dietary needs. Menu Planning: Work with the Head Chef to design balanced, nutritious menus that make the most of fresh, local ingredients. Kitchen Leadership: Take ownership of day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. Stock & Records: Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and maintain accurate food records. Cleanliness & Safety: Ensure kitchen equipment and dining areas are clean, safe, and welcoming. Skills & experience we’re looking for We’re looking for a chef who thrives in a care home environment and genuinely enjoys making a difference through food. You’ll have some experience working in a care setting and be confident preparing meals that meet residents’ unique dietary needs, including modified diets. Being a team player is key someone who can collaborate with colleagues, step in when needed, and help create a smooth-running, welcoming kitchen. You’ll also have a good understanding of food hygiene and safety, ensuring every meal is prepared to the highest standard.
