Job Description: The Centre for Plasma Theory, established in 2025, brings together researchers from the Schools of Mathematics and Physics & Astronomy to investigate the theoretical aspects of plasma physics. The new appointment aims to bring an outstanding theoretician who will develop an original, ambitious research programme in theoretical plasmas and support teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The position is part of a strategic initiative to expand CPT and aligns with a national centre for plasma theory with applications in fusion and astrophysical plasmas.
Qualifications and Skills
* PhD and significant further research experience in theoretical plasmas
