Academics Canterbury is seeking a positive, proactive, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Folkestone.
This large, purpose-built setting supports pupils with a wide range of learning needs and is known for its warm, inclusive culture, exceptional facilities, and commitment to helping every child flourish both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting with learning activities and fostering a positive learning environment
Work closely with teaching staff to create specific learning plans catered to individual pupils
Maintain a positive attitude that will motivate the children you work with
Providing tailored support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs
What we're looking for:
Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting/ SEMH background
Passion, empathy and desire for working with children with Special Educational Needs
A strong communicator who is able to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
A willingness to learn and grow
Experience or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant
** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
** £90 - £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
