Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office location, but open to London/UK-based candidates who are willing to travel to HQ once a month, expenses covered.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely extension to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages and supports the global Visual Merchandising strategy by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, developing fixture and event designs, and ensuring brand messaging consistency across all retailer channels. Responsible for delivering innovative retail experiences aligned with brand strategy and business goals across all physical channels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain VM execution and store expression according to brand guidelines, collaborating on POS materials for all points of distribution.
* Create CPAs/schedules; assess and flag risks for VM projects.
* Manage, update, and maintain the VM Master List for all projects, flag risks, and propose solutions.
* Align retailer reset/rebuild updates and promotions with the VM master calendar, ensuring timely delivery.
* Create Visual Merchandising Design briefs based on shared information from Sales, Marketing, and Retail partners.
* Create planograms and optimize shelf productivity with the Sales team, considering POS manufacturing, materials, and lead times.
* Raise POs, track, and file all costs, maintaining the VM budget and tracker.
Role requirements:
* At least 5 years experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Beauty and/or FMCG.
* Bachelor Degree in Design: Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
* Strong understanding of technical aspects of VM, manufacturing, and working with suppliers.
* Ability to interpret technical and manufacturing drawings.
* Knowledge of Project Management principles for large, complex projects.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to create and present VM presentations confidently to stakeholders, sharing risks and solutions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design software (Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion).
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to prioritize workload.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
