Are you an enthusiastic dietitian with a genuine passion for working with people with diabetes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Due to the promotion of the current post holder within our team, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join our team of specialist and highly specialist diabetes dietitians, delivering high-quality, innovative services across the city. Our team offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience primarily in diabetes, both in multidisciplinary primary care clinics and structured patient education sessions, along with other health education and health promotion events supported by specialist/highly specialist dietitians.
Bradford's Nutrition & Dietetic Service comprises over 70 Dietitians working in Acute, Community, and Primary Care settings, supported by an excellent clerical team with good IT facilities. Professional Development opportunities exist within the Dietetic Department, and Clinical Effectiveness, Audit, and Professional Standards are prioritized. The Department also takes 'B' and 'C' Placement dietetic students.
Main duties of the job
The service is delivered across the district in various locations, including home visits, so flexibility is essential. The post holder will require excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills. Work areas may change, so flexibility is necessary. Applicants should be HPC registered dietitians with relevant post-registration experience and should have access to a car, being a driver.
A passion and enthusiasm for diabetes is essential. Appropriate training will be provided.
