The Employability Mentor will administer the Jobs Growth Wales+ Programme according to the prescribed programme specifications. The successful candidate will collaborate with partners to recruit learners onto the programme across various college sites or other designated venues. They will work with colleagues to establish placements for trainees and ensure effective training programmes are introduced and monitored to enable candidates to achieve satisfactory outcomes.

The promotion of Equality and Diversity is essential, and the College is committed to having a diverse staff group. Safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults is paramount, and Coleg Cambria is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of these individuals, including the rigorous implementation of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) procedures. A DBS Disclosure will be required for the successful candidate. Depending on the role, registration with the Education Workforce Council may also be necessary.

Roles are typically advertised with a salary range, and relevant experience will influence the starting salary.


Minimum Qualifications and Experience

* Educated to a minimum Level 4 qualification
* Holds a TAQA 3 Qualification
* Experience working with NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training)
* Experience supporting learners in a work-based environment
* Experience managing classroom environments effectively
* Experience assessing qualifications
* Experience working with key stakeholders
* Relevant pastoral support experience
* Ability to manage time and resources to meet targets
* Knowledge of promoting and implementing health and safety practices

Welsh language skills are desirable, and applications in Welsh are welcomed and will not be treated less favorably.
