Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: South-East Birmingham, West MidlandsShifts: 168 Shift Pattern (168 hours over 4 weeks - Mornings, Afters, Nights)Rate: £44.14 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)Salary Equivalent: ~£70,000Contract: 12-Month Temp-to-PermIR35 Status: Inside IR35The RoleWe are currently seeking multiple Mechanical Maintenance Engineers from fast-paced, automated, or conveyor-driven environments.In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising production and ancillary machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency. Candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical expertise and previous experience within a production maintenance environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain high levels of equipment reliability and performanceCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across production machineryConduct equipment inspections and ensure compliance with safety standardsIdentify underperforming equipment and support continuous improvement initiativesEnsure all machinery operates safely and poses no risk to personnelAccurately record maintenance activities, report findings, and recommend improvementsQualifications & ExperienceProven experience in automotive or industrial machinery maintenanceStrong knowledge of mechanical systems and pneumaticsNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical discipline, or a completed indentured apprenticeshipDemonstrated background in a mechanical maintenance roleSkills & KnowledgeStrong experience in mechanical fitting and fault diagnosisAbility to carry out detailed machinery inspections and auditsHighly competent in preventative maintenance practicesProactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solvingAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply via this advert or send your CV to:
