Role Overview We are looking for an organised, proactive Office Operations Manager to take the lead in ensuring our Chester Le Street office runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with our commitment to quality and sustainability. This is a key role at the heart of our business supporting our people, strengthening our processes, and helping drive our long‑term growth. Key Responsibilities Operational Management • Keep daily office operations running efficiently and professionally • Improve systems and workflows to enhance service delivery • Manage facilities, maintenance, suppliers, and workplace safety • Lead operational improvement projects and embed ESG principles Compliance & Audits • Oversee Health & Safety, fire safety, and facilities inspections • Ensure GDPR and data protection compliance • Support service-line audits and deliver office-level audits • Produce reports, track actions, and implement preventative solutions People & Office Support • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable office culture • Act as the escalation point for operational issues • Plan and deliver office events and wellbeing initiatives • Oversee holiday, absence, and capacity planning • Coordinate onboarding and induction for new colleagues Training & Development • Coordinate internal training programmes • Ensure mandatory training is completed on time Finance & Budgeting • Manage the office budget and approve expenditure • Monitor supplier value and track expenses • Oversee invoicing and debt management Projects & Strategic Support • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources • Monitor risks and share lessons learned • Support initiatives linked to the firm’s five-year vision What we’re looking for • Strong organisational and operational management skills • Experience managing office facilities and suppliers • Good understanding of Health & Safety, GDPR, and compliance • Confident managing audits and tracking actions • People‑management experience with the ability to motivate a team • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills • Ability to manage budgets, invoicing, and financial processes • Skilled in coordinating training, onboarding, and appraisals • Strong project management capability • Proactive, solutions‑focused, and calm under pressure • Commitment to sustainability and ESG principles Why Join GSC Grays?
