We're looking for aStrategic Lead for Traffic & Transportto lead the development and delivery of our Local Transport Plan and drive forward innovative solutions that support decarbonisation, economic growth, and community wellbeing.
North East Lincolnshire Council is reimagining the way highways and transport services are delivered placing innovation, sustainability, and community at the heart of everything we do. As part of this bold transformation, we're creating exciting new leadership roles for passionate professionals ready to shape the future of our borough's infrastructure.
What's the role all about?
This is your chance to lead a service that's central to how people live, work, and move. You'll oversee traffic management, road safety, street works, and sustainable transport initiatives ensuring they align with local and regional priorities.
You'll work closely with the Greater Lincolnshire Mayoral Combined Authority and other partners to secure investment and deliver projects that make a real difference from safer streets to greener travel options.
What will your day look like?
* Leading a team of transport professionals to deliver high-impact services and strategies.
* Developing and implementing innovative transport solutions that support net zero goals.
* Engaging with communities, stakeholders, and partners to shape and deliver transport priorities.
* Aligning transport planning with broader economic and land use strategies.
Who are we looking for?
You bring a wealth of experience in traffic and transport planning, with a strong grasp of legislation, policy, and best practice. You've led teams, built partnerships, and delivered strategies that drive real-world outcomes.
You're forward-thinking, adaptable, and passionate about the enabling power of transport to transform lives and places.
