The Role We are seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact digital, data, and geospatial programmes across the UK’s national security community. The role will combine strategic programme leadership with campaign development to expand Envitia’s presence and growth within this critical sector. Working within a Prime contractor-led consortium, you will help shape and secure Envitia’s role in a multi-supplier ecosystem delivering advanced digital and data capabilities to safeguard the UK and its allies. You will collaborate with Prime partners and delivery teams to build early relationships with customers, influence technical direction, and ensure Envitia’s solutions are closely aligned with evolving mission needs. This is a customer-facing, onsite position requiring regular attendance at secure government facilities. Job Responsibilities Lead and deliver digital, data, and geospatial projects within the National Security sector, ensuring delivery excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, and mission value. Act as Business Development Lead on pre-procurement opportunities, identifying early-stage opportunities aligned to Envitia’s value proposition. Shape, influence and secure workshare across prime-led ecosystems, actively contributing to capture planning, solution development, and bid strategy. Represent Envitia in Authority and partner engagements, cultivating senior-level relationships and identifying opportunities for innovation and growth. Translate customer challenges into actionable propositions that leverage Envitia’s core strengths in data engineering, software, AI/ML, and geospatial analytics. Contribute to thought leadership, proposition development, and market positioning activities across the National Security sector. Skills Required Delivery Expertise: Proven track record of leading or contributing to the successful delivery of digital, data, or geospatial programmes within the national security sector. Business Development & Capture: Demonstrable experience in shaping, influencing, and securing National Security opportunities, ideally within multi-vendor, prime-led frameworks. Procurement Knowledge: Strong understanding of National Security procurement routes and frameworks. Strategic Engagement: Ability to build trusted relationships and influence direction at senior levels within customer and partner organisations. Proven ability to balance programme delivery responsibilities with business development activities. Technical Literacy: Strong technical awareness, with the capability to communicate complex concepts clearly and accessibly. Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems, and identify new business opportunities with a growth mindset. Security Clearance Requirements The successful candidate must hold a current DV security clearance. Location Travel required to our Horsham offices when required as well as onsite working at client locations in Gloucester, London, Manchester (based on project requirements).
