Job Title: Cleaner
Reports to: Site Manager
Hours: Part time, 12.5 hours per week
2 positions available with working hours of:
1. 6.00am – 8.30am Monday to Friday
2. 3.30pm – 6.00pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £23,656 FTE (actual salary £7,991 pa)
Main Purpose of the Job:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all pupils, staff, and visitors at Wollescote Primary School.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and sanitise designated areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
* Perform daily cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins.
* Ensure all cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and used efficiently.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Site Manager.
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Person Specification Qualifications and Training:
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience:
* Previous experience in a cleaning role is desirable but not essential.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.
* Knowledge of health and safety practices related to cleaning.
Personal Qualities:
* Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
