Coaching & Instruction (Sport & Recreation)
The Kind Foundation is looking for a dynamic educator and outdoor enthusiast who is self-starting, highly independent, responsible and motivated. This person will relate well to all ages and harbour a desire to impart knowledge to children in a way which is inspirational and strengths based.
This is a unique opportunity which would suit anyone who would enjoy living in an alpine environment – being Arthur's Pass village – and also enjoys teaching environmental education to school aged children.
A background in outdoor education and experience or training in primary school teaching and curriculum would be ideal. Couple that with an ability to manage the multiple aspects of this sole-charge position: taking bookings, organising programme logistics, instructing, teaching, facility maintenance and cleaning, health & safety and an ability to communicate with the many different customers and stakeholders, so we are looking for a special individual.
Accommodation in a self-contained hut adjacent to the Centre is provided for a nominal rental. The accommodation contains one double bedroom, an open plan lounge/kitchen area and bathroom.
For the right person we will remunerate competitively. A great place to work if you want to have minimal living costs and save for a rainy day – while at the same time working for an organisation which supports their staff and exists to serve a social cause, and making a difference to the lives, attitudes and understanding of hundreds of children and young people.
