This setting caters to pupils aged 5 – 11 years who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, often alongside additional needs such as autism and associated challenges. Pupils typically have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and are supported in small classes with high adult-to-pupil ratios. Role Overview
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils’ engagement with learning, wellbeing and behaviour for learning. You’ll work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider support team to implement tailored interventions, support positive behaviour, deliver learning activities and nurture pupils’ confidence and independence.
This role is full-time and permanent, perfect for someone seeking a rewarding long-term position within the SEMH education sector.
