Job Description
Müller Yogurt & Desserts is the UK's leading yogurt manufacturer, responsible for major brands like Müllerlight, Müller Corner, and Müller Rice. It produces chilled desserts under license from Mondelez International and supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a state-of-the-art facility.
Müller Market Drayton is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join the Reliability team within the Filling Department. The successful candidate will ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards and optimized for efficiency, delivering a world-class service regarding filling machines.
Contract: Full-Time / Permanent
Location: Market Drayton
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days, 7am to 7pm
Salary: £50,216 per annum
*£5,000 signing-on bonus for successful multi-skilled applicants (subject to T&Cs)*

Key Responsibilities
1. Maintaining and improving all plant, processes, and assets to a safe, efficient, and reliable standard
2. Performing daily maintenance and improvements on plant, assets, and services
3. Ensuring all work complies with food safety and health & safety standards
4. Completing PPM tasks and developing improved maintenance practices
5. Diagnosing and repairing equipment faults promptly to ensure smooth operations
6. Championing health and safety initiatives
7. Diagnosing, testing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment
8. Monitoring machinery for defects or signs of failure and reporting via CMMS
9. Contacting OEMs and suppliers for technical support and expediting parts as needed
Candidate Requirements
* Strong experience as a multi-skilled engineer in a fast-moving, complex manufacturing or logistics environment
* Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, production, and process environments
* HNC or apprenticeship-trained with proven experience working on machinery, pumps, valves, and PLCs
* Experience in FMCG roles is desirable
* Knowledge of filling and process technology
* Understanding of clean, fast-moving environments (24/7, short-life products)
* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
* Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques
* Good communication and team-building skills
* Ability to work cross-functionally
