Job Description

Senior Company Secretary Assistant - In-house Financial Services

*London based, Hybrid working

*ESG Focus

*£50,000 - £60,000 base salary

*3-5 years of experience required

Role Responsibilities

* Responsible for general company secretarial functions relating to Committees/Groups by ensuring timely and effective preparation for, administration of, and follow-up of all meetings
* Supporting maintenance of the statutory and other records for all entities
* Responsible for smooth operation of relevant Board Committees and sub-committees, including meeting planning, logistics, agenda setting and maintenance of the forward calendar
* Work closely with the Deputy Company Secretary & Sustainability Lead on sustainability matters at internationally to provide support and undertake initiatives in respect of the companies International’s sustainability strategy.
* Horizon scanning and conducting research into sustainability and related regulation
* Supporting junior members of the Company Secretarial team that provide support to Committees and Groups, sharing knowledge and experience and ensuring that high standards of governance

Expeirence required

* Educated to degree level or equivalent with 3-4 years’ experience and CGI (ICSA) qualified (or nearing completion)
* Previous company secretarial experience which includes company administration, board/committee support (including minute writing)
* Keen interest in sustainability and comfortable undertaking independent research and presenting findings and recommendations.
* Experience in Financial Services regulated environment (desirable)
