Role:
Welder/Fabricator
Salary: £13.50 per hour – 40 hours paid at normal rate and 5 hours paid at time and a third (discussed at interview stage)
Location: Sheffield
Working Hours:
1. Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
2. Friday: 7:00 am – 12:30 pm
3. Occasional weekend work as needed and opportunities for overtime as and when required
Our Client is a leader in the design, development, building, and refurbishment of shot blasting, air blasting, and shot peening equipment. We are currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their busy workshop in Sheffield. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Welding & Fabrication: MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to high standards.
5. Fabrication Equipment: Operate bandsaws, press brakes, guillotines, grinders, rollers, pillar drills, hand drills.
6. Site Work: Occasional site work (full driving license required).
7. Cranes & FLTs: Operating overhead cranes and FLTs
8. Engineering Drawings: Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
Requirements:
9. Experience: Experienced welder in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
10. Machine Operation: Use multiple fabrication machines – Bandsaw, Press Brake, Grinder, Guillotine, Rollers, Pillar Drill
11. Driving: A full UK driving license is essential.
12. Cranes & FLTs: Operate overhead cranes and FLTs is advantageous.
13. Interpretation: Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
