About the Role
As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will use your clinical expertise to assess how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily life. You will handle complex cases involving chronic pain, neurological, physical, and mental health conditions. Your compassion and experience will help clients move forward with their lives.
The role includes a 6-week tailored training program, ongoing support, and mentorship to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to evaluate how health conditions affect daily living
* Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining benefit eligibility
* Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision
Requirements
* Valid HCPC registration number
* At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience, within or outside the NHS
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Proficiency in using computer software to produce detailed reports
