This is an exciting role in the Hazardous Waste team, providing leadership to ensure the regime is sustainably resourced, undergoes regular internal reviews, and remains future-proof.
The role duties and responsibilities include:
1. Conducting a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including exploring options for improvements.
2. Implementing recommendations from this review, which may include:
* Assessing distribution of funds
* Evaluating KPIs
* Innovating working methods
1. Additional responsibilities may include:
* Advancing internal audit recommendations
* Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation
* Enhancing visibility of Area Hazardous Waste activities
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing unit within the Regime Regulation team, leading hazardous waste management efforts supporting government, industry, and colleagues.

You will have an inclusive incident management objective in your development plan, with support to find suitable roles. The role offers flexible/hybrid working arrangements, with some travel expected.
