The Shift E/I Craftsperson will undertake Engineering activities in order to maximise Plant uptime and will identify when additional resources/skills are required in order to solve a problems. Our EI Craftsperson will be responsible for: Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures and Engineering standards. Achieve Personal, Departmental & related Company objectives. Use skills to maintain the Mill in an optimum & safe condition. Make skilled repairs/adjustments to support Production needs. Operate types of vehicles/equipment for which trained/qualified. Receive and giving instruction/training/development. Use Engineering Management Systems to source parts/information, and to select and report history in Work Orders. Liaise with internal departments & external persons as required. Ensure tasks/information is handed over from shift to shift. (as per procedure doc no 1076740) Inform Line Managers of any actions, problems, ideas etc that need to be progressed. Diagnose faults and taking action to rectify them. Man job cover; supporting day work as agreed. Adhere to/support of the permit to work system. Work flexibly within Safety and Skills remit. Be an Emergency Responder – Asbestos. What we're looking for in our EI Craftsperson: A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship In addition to this, the following would be desirable: Additional training in E/I skills for existing EI Craft to NVQ Level 2, validated by workbook. Relevant plant knowledge of 6-12 months. 2-3 years working knowledge of Engineering. 6 months practical experience of process industry. Computer literate with working knowledge of ‘Windows Office' suite. Knowledge of Plant Management databases an advantage. Personnel skills: able to work on own/in a team; work in a tidy, organised way; able to communicate with people at all levels.
