Permanent Medical Receptionist – Swindon | £12.25–£13/hr | Immediate Start Are you an organised, patient-focused professional looking to make a real impact in a busy GP practice? We’re currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a friendly and supportive team in Swindon, with an immediate start available. The Role: As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the practice. Key Responsibilities: Welcoming patients in person and over the phone Booking, amending, and managing appointments Processing prescriptions and managing patient queries Handling patient records using clinical systems (EMIS or SystmOne experience desirable) Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties ✅ What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confident IT user, with strong attention to detail Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne (preferred but not essential) Pay & Hours: Hourly rate: £12.25–£13.00 (dependent on experience) Working days: Monday to Friday Start date: Immediate This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming, patient-centred practice where your contribution will be truly valued.
