The Role
NeoTimber® is a fast-growing UK manufacturer of innovative, low-maintenance building materials, supplying installers, contractors, developers, and commercial project stakeholders across the UK.
We are now looking to appoint a Business Development Executive to accelerate growth within our B2B and trade segments. This role is focused on proactive outbound sales, relationship development, and long-term account growth — targeting installers, contractors, and repeat-purchase trade customers.
This is not a transactional sales role. It suits someone who enjoys building credibility, opening doors, and nurturing commercial relationships, supported by strong products, stock availability, and an established brand.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Proactively identifying, qualifying, and developing new B2B opportunities through outbound activity
* Building and managing a pipeline of installer, contractor, and trade accounts
* Re-engaging dormant, lapsed, or low-frequency customers to increase account value
* Conducting structured discovery conversations to understand customer business models, volumes, and growth potential
* Presenting NeoTimber® as a long-term supply partner, not just a one-off product supplier
* Managing follow-ups, samples, pricing discussions, and progression through the sales cycle
* Feeding back market insight, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback to senior management
* Maintaining accurate CRM records to support forecasting and segmentation
* Representing NeoTimber® professionally in all customer interactions
Skills
* Proven experience in B2B sales or business development (construction, building materials, landscaping, or manufacturing preferred but not essential)
* Confident, credible communicator who can engage decision-makers at different levels
* Comfortable with proactive outbound activity and self-generated pipeline
* Commercially minded, with an understanding of long sales cycles and relationship value
* Highly organised, disciplined, and consistent in follow-up
* Resilient and motivated, with a genuine drive to exceed targets
* Able to balance autonomy with collaboration across sales and marketing teams
* Strong attention to detail and professionalism in written and verbal communication
Experience in building materials, construction, home improvement, or technical products is advantageous but not essential - full training is provided.
