Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 dynamic and motivated people to join the Ophthalmology team on a part time basis at St Helier Hospital in a Band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator role.
Responsibilities
* Play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient pathway administration for patients throughout their journey.
* Act as the point of contact and track patients from referral to treatment and discharge.
* Organise appointments, diagnostic tests and surgery/treatment dates in close collaboration with clinicians and multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Book emergency surgery for patients attending the acute eye service.
* Monitor the outpatient waiting list to ensure timely care.
* Communicate and organise with an excellent eye for detail.
Qualifications
Candidates should have good knowledge and understanding of patient access targets and ideally have prior experience working in an administrative role. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, proactive and well organised with a strong sense of patient/customer care, IT literate and able to multitask, work in a team and work under pressure in a busy office environment.
