Responsibilities
:
* Inspect CNC-machined aerospace parts (turning and milling) for dimensional accuracy and surface finish
* Use a range of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and CMMs
* Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles
* Interpret specifications and standards
* Carry out First Article Inspections (FAI) in line with AS9102 requirements
* Record and report inspection results accurately using internal quality systems
* Identify and report non-conformances; assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Liaise with machinists, engineers, QA and production staff to resolve quality issues
* Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a quality inspection role within a CNC machining or aerospace environment
* Strong understanding of turning and milling processes
* Proficient in reading technical drawings and using inspection tools
* Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace quality standards
* Good communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills (Lean/six sigma knowledge preferred)
* Right to work in the UK

* Knowledge of SPC, MSA, and digital inspection systems
* Experience of optical measurement systems

Pay range and compensation package

* £34,000 - £36,500 PA
