We are a well-established team involved in numerous research projects focusing on all aspects of cardiovascular care, with an emphasis on vascular health.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a personal caseload of clinical trials and patients under supervision from Principal Investigators, senior research nurses, or research nurses.
2. Ensuring all work complies with research protocols, ICH-GCP, and Research Governance guidelines.
3. Identifying, screening, and recruiting patients for clinical trials according to approved protocols.
4. Providing education and support to patients participating in research trials.
5. Collaborating with the lead clinician to evaluate clinical trial proposals, considering patient populations and cost implications.
6. Participating in set-up, initiation, monitoring visits, site audits, and study close-down meetings conducted by sponsors and regulatory bodies.
7. Providing ongoing audit reports as required by trial protocols and the Research & Innovation department/ethics committee.
8. Resolving data queries raised by sponsoring organizations.
9. Acting as a patient advocate for individuals considering or participating in clinical trials.
10. Serving as a resource for ward-based nurses interested in research after achieving necessary competencies.
