Overview
A growing, acquisitive business in the financial services sector is seeking an ambitious FP&A Analyst to join its expanding Commercial Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, evolving environment where finance is at the forefront of strategic decision-making. As the business scales, the FP&A function plays a central role in delivering insights that drive performance, agility, and sustainable growth.
This role will sit within a high-performing finance team of 8–10 professionals and will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, business partners, and the wider finance function. The successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of initiatives, from month-end reporting to budget planning and advanced data analysis, helping shape the financial direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Group Reporting: Consolidate and report accurate financial performance metrics for executive leadership, the Board, and investors.
* Entity-Level Reporting: Produce financial reports for individual subsidiaries to support local governance and decision-making.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
* Insight Generation: Analyse variances between actuals and forecasts, highlighting key risks and opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations.
* Commercial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis on strategic initiatives.
* Data Management: Assist in the organisation and optimisation of financial data sources, including the creation of dashboards and automation tools.
* Process Improvement: Continuously improve reporting processes and data quality to enhance the accuracy and impact of financial insights.
* Customer-Centric Approach: Actively contribute to delivering positive customer outcomes through all areas of responsibility.

About You
The ideal candidate will be:
* Professionally Qualified: Part-qualified or newly qualified (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a relevant academic background.
* Experienced: Prior experience in FP&A or financial modelling roles, ideally within a regulated or financial services environment.
* Technically Skilled: Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills. Advanced Excel proficiency is essential; experience building dashboards and using visualisation tools is highly advantageous.
* Analytical & Communicative: Able to translate complex data into meaningful insights and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
* Growth-Oriented: Demonstrates adaptability, initiative, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
