Join our NRC Operations team as a Proof Reader, where your attention to detail will directly support the delivery of high-quality medicolegal reports. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness—helping medical experts and legal professionals rely on work that meets the highest standards.
Job Opportunity
Role Summary
Our Medical Experts provide expert witness reports for the courts instructed by personal injury or clinical negligence solicitor firms. The Proof Reader will support them with the checking, editing and formatting of medicolegal reports.
Currently looking to fill a 6 month FTC, with the potential for extension once in the role.
Key Responsibilities
Report checking and proof reading
Including but not limited to;
•Proof reading reports, checking grammar, punctuation, formatting, correcting common errors
•Ensuring key information is translated from the Letter of Instruction(LOI)
•Ensuring quality
Timeliness & Accuracy
•Support efficient and prompt administrative handling of draft reports

Reporting Line
The Enquiries Administrator reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the Clinical Liaison and Senior Case Workers.
Expected to provide regular updates on admin workload, outstanding enquiries, and data entry status.
Essential Skills
Essential
* English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
Desired experience:
* A background in medical secretarial (or similar) work, with proficient proof reading skills and is familiar with editing processes and software, is advantageous
* A good understanding of medical terminology is necessary
* Ability to turn reports around quickly and work flexibly is also necessary
