The Two Roles
GP with MSK interest Ideal for a GP keen to develop a specialist interest.
2 sessions per week dedicated to training towards GPwER in MSK if not already qualified.
Supported by our established MSK service and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners.
General Practice GP Perfect for a GP who wants to focus on core general practice within a supportive, well structured clinical environment.
Standard GP sessions with excellent triage support.
Opportunities to develop portfolio interests over time.
Both posts offer 4 to 8 sessions, flexible working, and the same high quality support and benefits.

Main duties of the job
What You Can Expect
15 minute appointments, max 12 per session, triaged by experienced clinicians.
Weekly 1 hour clinical & educational meeting.
6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave (pro rata).
Additional leave at Christmas or New Year.

IG Medical is situated in West Yorkshire, we have 2 sites Ilkley Surgery set in the picturesque town of Ilkley and Grassington Surgery in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We are a training practice and are a caring, forward thinking, committed team, whose aim is to improve the health of our community by delivering high quality patient care, whilst maintaining a fulfilling working environment for all.
Our clinical team includes 5 GP Partners, salaried GP's, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and our nursing team consists of Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. All supported by our hardworking Managers, reception and administrative teams.

Job responsibilities
You will be required to work from the surgery premises to provide the usual services associated with that of a General Practitioner to patients of the Practice, associated administration and other necessary duties as may be reasonably directed by the Partners from time to time.
A session is five hours long and will consist of 12 x 15 minute appointments, together with such additional time as may be required for the proper performance of your duties including, but not limited to, paperwork and administration. Visits will be allocated proportionally.
During your employment you must complete the following mandatory training
* Basic life support
* Mental capacity act and deprivation of liberties
* Safeguarding adults at risk

Qualifications
* Salaried GP You are required to effect and maintain full registration with the General Medical Council and to effect and maintain membership of a recognised medical defence organisation approved by the Partners, commensurate with your professional duties. Throughout the period of your employment, you are also required to provide written proof and evidence of such registration and membership on request. If you are required to hold necessary professional qualifications to undertake your role you must hold the qualifications at the start of your employment and provide the Practice with evidence to the fact. You must continue to hold these qualifications throughout your employment and shall immediately notify the Practice if you cease to hold them. The Practice may terminate your employment if you cease to hold the required qualifications.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
