An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Older Adult Community Mental Health Team in Fife.
The post holder will be based at OA CMHT-Central at Whytemans Brae Hospital in Kirkcaldy and will currently cover inpatients at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.
Responsibilities
* Provide holistic assessment, treatment, and care planning for older adults experiencing mental health illness.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and establish strong working relationships with acute care clinicians.
* Conduct person‑centred assessments and deliver strength‑based treatment.
* Lead training and development sessions for staff, including bite‑sized sessions and intervention skills for staff working with distressed or stressed individuals.
* Receive comprehensive induction, caseload/clinical supervision, and protective learning time.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Mental Health Nurse with proven experience working with older adults in a mental health service.
* Non‑Medical Prescriber status.
* Experience in team working, problem solving, risk management, and partnership working within an MDT.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and time‑management skills, with evidence of continuing personal development.
* Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
* Right to work in the United Kingdom or eligibility for sponsorship.
