Salary: £28,916.16 per annum (£13.90 per hour) + service charge
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days), 7 days a week 365 days a year, shifts vary.
Overview
Assistant Bar Manager responsible for daily management of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring high standards of service, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Works closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference & Events Manager, and Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily operations of the bar and room service.
* Maintain control over food & beverage costs, labour costs, and operating expenses.
* Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for bar and room service.
* Participate in departmental meetings to review progress toward business plan goals.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
* Communicate clearly with senior management and other departments.
* Carry out duty management shifts as required by business needs.
* Support the team as a leader, communicator, and motivator.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in bar management or a similar role.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and training skills.
* Excellent communication, service‑oriented, and detail‑focused.
* Team player able to motivate staff.
* Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
* Ability to forecast, control costs, and drive revenue.
