JOB TITLE: Temporary to Permanent Part Time Administrator


LOCATION: Taunton


HOURLY RATE: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour (DOE)


HOURS: 3 - 4 days per week, flexible on hours and days for the right candidate

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to join a well-established and highly successful construction company based in Taunton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional administrative support. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering outstanding service to customers. A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills are essential. This position is being offered on a temporary basis initially, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Therefore, immediate availability or a short notice period is required.


Key duties and responsibilities:



8. To effectively manage the email inbox's and handle all telephone calls.

9. Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.

10. Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to maintain up-to-date records.

11. Use Office, Excel, MS Word and other IT tools proficiently / competently to manage data and reporting.

12. Maintain and expand the company's file and document management system.

13. Help with the preparation and coordination of project estimates, tenders / pre-qualification questionnaires.

14. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation.

15. Ensure compliance with Company Insurance policies, vehicle fleet insurance requirements and road legalities.

16. Maintain employee training records and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

17. Build strong relationships with potential new and existing clients.

18. Inputting data for invoices to be raised

19. Communicate with suppliers and clients to resolve queries.



Essential skills and qualities:



20. Proven experience as an administrator or in a similar role.

21. Confident telephone manner and excellent communication skills.

22. Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail.

23. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

24. IT literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.

25. Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
