At our Newton Abbot site where we make our delicious Ice Creams and Desserts, we are looking for a Team Manager to lead our Goods in/Goods out team. You will have a passion for Stock taking and strong experience within a warehouse environment. You'll be responsible for leading and developing the operators in your team, while also building on and developing your own key leadership skills.
You’ll ensure our raw materials, prepared and finished products are produced to the highest standards in the safest environment. As well as making sure things are running smoothly, you’ll always be looking for ways to improve the quality, efficiency and production costs through engaging and supporting your team members and collaborating with other functions.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Leading stock management, control and counts
2. Leading Health & Safety within the area of responsibility, engaging the team to ensure compliance and improve the safety culture
3. Developing the team to achieve targets. Engaging them and promoting autonomy to enable them to achieve their KPI's; safety, quality, deliver, cost
4. Working collaboratively with other functions to ensure that work plans are agreed, prioritised and delivered
5. Supporting and supervising in the following: Preparation of, receiving, handling and issuing of raw materials and the dispatch of finished product;
6. The use of a computer and software packages (Microsoft bias);
7. Using hand-held devices and relevant software systems;
8. Leading and developing the team to improve the quality, efficiency and cost of production through engagement and application of the leadership principles
9. Ensure your team is compliant with quality standards
10. Deliver communication and reporting to the highest standard
11. Leading and developing the team to focus on asset care and quality assurance
12. Leading continuous improvement activities providing measured improvements through application of CI principles

15. Proficiency in IT software such as Microsoft
16. Excellent communication skills

17. Previous management experience
18. Health & Safety qualification, IOSH or other recognised qualification
19. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement application - 5s, SIC, RCA's, visual management
20. Experience of working with external auditors
21. Experience of coaching and development
22. Asset care/ autonomous maintenance experience
23. Change management experience
24. Quality Control or Quality Assurance qualifications/experience
