Job Description
Are you an experienced Compliance Manager with knowledge of mental health services and how they work, excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and a strong eye for detail? Join Elysium Healthcare as the Compliance Manager, where you will check the compliance of Elysium’s services with national regulatory standards and best practices.
This role is focused on reviewing care records, identifying potential issues, and following up using various information sources to verify concerns, rather than conducting audits with definitive right or wrong answers.
You will work in our Provider Compliance Assessment Team, reporting to the Director of Policy and Regulation, Regional Directors, and Registered Managers. Your responsibilities include reviewing findings from documentation and site visits, monitoring compliance, and providing feedback.
The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, participating in PCA reviews, monitoring audits, service reports, and action plans, and continually reviewing the company’s statutory and legal compliance requirements.
Travel across the country is required, sometimes staying away from home for up to 3 nights.
Closing date for applications is 16th May, 2025.
Other responsibilities:
* Monitoring and following up on requirements and recommendations from external bodies such as CQC, HIW, and CIW.
* Ensuring compliance with Elysium Healthcare policies.
* Maintaining professional communication with internal and external contacts, in line with contractual and regulatory obligations.
* Reporting serious concerns to the Director of Policy and Regulation promptly via email or phone.
* Adhering to policies on confidentiality and data security, and maintaining a safe work environment.
* Staying updated on regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and skills:
* Experience in a similar role, or as a Registered Manager or senior clinician in a hospital or care home.
* Ability to analyze detailed information and triangulate data to assess compliance.
* Understanding of health and social care regulatory frameworks in England and Wales.
* Knowledge of mental health services, including MHA Code of Practice, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and Safeguarding.
* Experience communicating effectively with staff at all levels and with service users in mental health, learning disabilities, complex care, and brain injury services.
* Willingness to travel and stay away from home for up to 3-day site visits.
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Benefits:
* Annual salary of £56,000
* Car allowance of £6,000
* 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) plus your birthday off (pro-rata)
* Wellbeing support and activities
* Career development and training opportunities
* Pension scheme
* Life Assurance
* Enhanced Maternity Package
* Additional benefits including retail discounts and special offers
