The Bulmershe School is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our friendly school office team. This is more than just an admin job; you'll be at the heart of our school's operations, providing essential support to every department. From managing daily correspondence and maintaining our student information database (SIMS) to supporting school events and helping with staff absence cover, your role will be varied, fast-paced and crucial to our smooth running. You'll also play a key role in our admissions, transition and reception teams, making every day different and engaging.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for organisation, who is ready to take on a wide range of requests and needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Undertake day to day administration duties as directed by the line manager
* Deal with daily correspondence, telephone calls, standard letters, reports etc; receive, distribute and frank mail
* Support the teaching and learning of students in the school as directed by the senior leadership, including communication and record keeping around behaviour management and work experience
* Be responsible for student information, maintain SIMS database
* Support with staff absence and emergency cover operations
* Support with ordering supplies for school
* Support parent and open evenings with administrative duties prior to school events
* Distribute school communications: proof reading emails, sending letters and creating display boards
