About the Role
As a Maintenance Operative at Careline Lifestyles, your main responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the premises are safe and well-maintained by conducting daily inspections for any potential Health and Safety hazards
* Keeping an electronic maintenance log and ensuring all issues are reported and addressed in a timely manner
* Verifying all tasks with the Manager, except in the case of emergencies
* Ensuring lights, particularly bulbs, are working properly throughout the premises
* Maintaining tidy gardens, yards, and fire exit areas, especially during poor weather conditions
* Checking and maintaining hot water and heating systems
* Regularly carrying out painting jobs, including 'touching up' areas as needed
* Inspecting drains and gutters weekly to ensure proper functioning
* Organising and testing fire equipment, hoists, lifts, boilers, air conditioners, and other equipment
* Carrying out weekly fire drills and documenting findings in the Fire Drill Log Book
* Keeping all records up to date and notifying the Administrator/Directors of any potential hazards for further action
* Being flexible and adaptable to new tasks and responsibilities as required by the company

* Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and management
* A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
* Ability to maintain and inspect equipment and systems regularly
