Job Description:
To deliver high-quality training programmes that develop Apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for their Apprenticeship. Complete individual Apprentice learning, assessments, reviews, and completions in a timely manner as set by management, achieving or exceeding the required quality standards. Support all elements of the Apprentice journey, including preparation for Gateway for Standards Apprentices, providing Apprentices with constructive, professional, and relevant feedback and support to help them gain the Apprenticeship Framework or Standard.
This position is Hybrid (50% Remote and 50% at 29 Reg The Duke of Gloucester Barracks British Army barracks at South Cerney in Gloucestershire).
Core tasks and responsibilities
* Support and deliver high-quality, individualised Apprenticeship initial assessments to identify the starting point of the Apprentice’s journey.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to support the development of knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
* Provide constructive feedback to support Apprentice progress.
* Utilise technology in learning delivery to support effective development.
* Embrace new working methods, technology, and approaches to engaging learners, especially when deployed away from usual workplaces.
* Arrange regular workplace visits/contact with Apprentices for induction, observation, support, and development.
* Assess work within set timeframes and guidelines laid down by awarding bodies and customers.
* Observe Apprentices against criteria and give feedback and support.
* Ensure assessments and evidence are valid, authentic, relevant, current, and sufficient.
* Conduct individual Progress Reviews and submit paperwork within deadlines.
* Monitor Apprentice development and liaise with Programme Managers.
* Identify and document Apprentice absences appropriately.
* Maintain accurate Apprentice records in MIS, e-portfolio, and online systems.
* Complete Apprentice visits as required.
* Quality assure the work of other Coaches where qualified.
* Work proactively with learners, management, and colleagues to foster positive relations.
* Maintain positive relations with stakeholders to ensure Pearson TQ retains and gains business.
* Support Apprentices in developing positive attitudes towards learning and achievement.
* Attend standardisation and team meetings.
* Complete CPD activities to support delivery.
* Assist in assessing other qualifications or developing other Apprentices.
* Be flexible with hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
* Undertake other duties as required.
Our Successful Applicant
Experience in delivering Large Goods Vehicle and Supply Chain Apprenticeships, coaching and mentoring skills, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to work independently.
Experience
* Background in Logistics & Air Ground operations, customer interaction at various points.
* Experience in Supply Chain Warehousing, coordinating goods receipt, order, and dispatch, using space and handling equipment.
* Good time management and planning skills.
* Proficient in technology-supported delivery.
* Proven track record of achieving targets.
* Strong written skills for detailed feedback and objectives.
* Experience with Ofsted inspections.
